The Thermoelectric Generation Developer's Kit highlights the issues, potential and "tricks-of-the-trade" needed for a successful design. This completely self-contained kit allows the construction of prototypes for many device applications with easily reconfigurable modular components. A 20 page manual describes the theory and presents targeted experiments on interfacing, heat sources/sinks, electronic conversion and deployment options.

Bootstrap Converters are self-oscillating DC-DC converters used to boost the very low voltage outputs from many thermoelectric applications into higher, more usable voltages. The unipolar W0422-1 can boost voltages as low as 80 mV into a voltage sufficient to charge a 3 volt rechargable cell. The bipolar W0422-2 works from input voltages of either polarity.
