TXL Group, Inc. is an EL Paso. Texas Corporation dedicated to the development and manufacturing of thermoelectric generation technology and heat pumping (Peltier) technology. The preliminary theoretical work underlying TXL Group's devices began in 2004 with successful early investigations into the role that nanostructuring could play in impeding lattice heat transfer through a crystalline matrix. Initial testing proved positive and led to the formation of TXL Group in 2006 to develop thermoelectric technology for energy recovery from industrial and environmental heat streams.

Based in El Paso, Texas, the Company has pilot studies underway for energy recovery from roadway heat, a commodity with which Texas is well endowed. TXL Group has developed unique models for thermoelectric behavior at the "nano" level where feature sizes on the order of tens of atoms in thickness cause novel behaviors. The theory has been proven out through simulation and synthesis. The timing is particularly fortuituous in that the Company's work is taking place at a time of unprecedented increases in energy costs.

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
TXL Group is seeking industry partners and candidate sites for pilot studies, with a particular interest in exploiting opportunities in recovering energy from solar heating, heat discharge streams in industrial plants and heat pumping as an adjunct to photovoltaics.
